Study Leave

Discova is committed to providing paid study leave to employees who are engaged in an approved course of study. Discova will approve a course of study if Discova sees the course as relevant to that employee’s current role or their potential future roles. You may apply to take study leave if you wish to attend an industry specific course which is directly related to your employment.

Child Care Leave

Employes are entitled to childcare leave up to 20 days a year to care for a newborn. For more information, please ask your Country HR Leader.

Childcare Leave / Family Care Leave

Employees are entitled to childcare/family care leave up to 12 times a year. This allows employees to take essential time off to care for their child and/or elderly parents. For more information, please ask your Country HR Leader.

Childcare Time

Female employees with a baby who is less than a year old may request for childcare time to care for her child. For more information, please ask your Country HR Leader.

Compassionate / Bereavement Leave

Employees are entitled to bereavement leave in the event a family member passes away.

Compassionate Leave

Discova employees are entitled to compassionate leave in the event when an immediate family member or household member suffers a life-threatening illness or injury or dies.

Extended Year End Break (Dec/Jan)

In line with market practice, employees have an extended break during the Dec to Jan period. This break is paid and does not require employees to utilise their leave benefits.

Injury/Sickness Leave of Absence

Employees are entitled to extended leave in the event of injury or sickness for at least 90 days, or if the employee is unable to work due to mental or physical sickness. For more information, please ask your Country HR Leader.

Jury Duty Leave

In the event an employee is called for Jury Duty, the period of absence is counted as period worked and full salary will be paid.

Long Service Leave

Long service leave rewards employees for their dedication and loyalty over extended periods of employment. Long Service Leave are for employees who reach their 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th and 30th year anniversaries.

Marriage Leave

Employees are entitled to marriage leave to celebrate the happy occasion.

Parental Leave

Discova employees are entitled to parental leave as stated in the local labour law. Parental leave allows employees to take essential time off to care for and bond with their new child, whether through birth, adoption, or surrogacy.

Prenatal and Postnatal Leave

Female employees are entitled to paid prenatal and postnatal leave during their maternity.
