Sometimes team members may require leave or seek leave which is not covered by our other leave policies. FCTG provides leave to assist in your professional development, and other leave is provided to allow you to fulfil public duties, such as Jury Duty, Community Service Leave or Defence Services Leave. Permanent full-time employees are entitled to 4 weeks’ paid annual leave per year or pro-rated for permanent part-time employees. Refer to the FCTG Policy Portal for full details.

Employees are entitled to up to 5 days of paid leave for each occasion when an immediate family member or household member suffers a life-threatening illness or injury or dies.

FCTG employees have access to a period of 10 days paid Family and Domestic Violence Leave should you or your immediate family be in a situation involving family or domestic violence. We suggest reaching out to HR for immediate assistance.

FCTG provides 10 weeks of long service leave after completing 10 years of continuous service with FCTG, unless you have a legislative entitlement which is more favourable in the State or Territory in which you work.

All eligible permanent employees who have or will have responsibility of care for a child are entitled to 12 months (52 weeks) of Unpaid Parental Leave. Click the link below for our policy and search Parental Leave Toolkit on The Landing for even more resources.

Personal/Carer’s Leave is available to an employee who is not fit for work because of personal illness or injury, or to provide care or support to a member of the employee’s immediate or extended family, household, or significant other. Full-time employees are entitled to 10 sick days per year and pro-rated for part-time employees.

Need to see the dentist? Book it in, in advance and take prioritse you! Pro-active self care days entitled FCTG staff to 2 days a year that can be taken at your discretion to attend to things like Doctors appointments. These form part of our Personal Leave policy.

Employees may choose to purchase 1 week or 5 days additional leave (based on your standard weekly hours for part time employees)

Relaxation/Travellers Leave is an additional 5 days per annum (pro-rated for part time team members based on the number of days worked) provided to those Team Members within Flight Centre brand who have completed more than 6 months’ Continuous Service. Please refer to the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA).

An additional five paid days (40 hours) per annum to eligible employees within the Cruiseabout brand to be used for any purpose, including Educationals
